Fragrant nymph gleaming
Comrades coaxed,
Striving
A wrenching daughter
Diplomatic maids and wicked spirit
Their cunning captain
Hatred, an unearthly blaze
What a wretched death she is doomed to die
a bloody noose
The floor awash with blood
Blanching white pain
Pity

Western Interactions: Asia Reflection
Over India, China, and Japan I think India had the best relations with the west although britain took 2/3 of India over they treated them much better than Japan or China. Japan An China were bombarded over time by the west especially small Japan during their first interactions with the west and during their strive for power over the rest of Asia. When India was taken over there were princes they fought and rebellions they exterminated but they also increased sanitation and their education system for the middle class. Britain treated indian religion with respect and enforced it with law although some would have thought their religion barbaric. In China their was refusal by traders and they stopped Kow-Towing to the chinese which caused outrage and in Japan most western powers forced unequal treaties demeaning the japanese. In 1947 Britain gave them freedom after war but other Asian counties were seen as enemy. So, although many may have been killed in massacres and rebellions I believe that they were treated much better under british power than Japan and China which were left devastated at points due to western influence.

Mi Viaje a Chile

Rocket Report on Class Project
Baylis Mitchell working by himself on the rocket project in Andy Lammers science class of 2017 pushing through a struggle at the last minute. He has yet to come up with an ingenious rocket but he soon able to find success getting the second best time in his class showing up all others in the last six minutes of the last class to test his rocket. Pumping the rocket by himself and rushing to the string to let loose all its power letting it soar up into the sky. As it flies up the capsule comes off at its peak and the parachute rolls out of the cone but is not open. beginning to free-fall towards earth again panic arises amongst the students for it was his last egg. But the reliable rocket proudly opens up its parachute and a smile spreads across Baylis as his egg lands safely on the ground with a time of 11.29 seconds. Success has been found at the last minute and Baylis is saved soaring from a C to an A. An astounded Baylis says "I can't believe it worked, I guess I just got lucky". It is another great day for Baylis and a wonderful one for bottle ballistics.

Hiroshima Debate Reflection
In my debate I was for debate 1 and I needed to make the audience believe that the bombing of Hiroshima was horrible and the men who carried out the plan should have been tried and hung in court. Our main points were that Hiroshima was already devastated and it wasn't necessary for the US to drop the bomb. That America had already demonized the japanese through propagandas making the americans think lesser of the japanese making it easy for them to kill thousands. Lastly that even those who created the bomb voted against the use of the bomb and only they knew that it would be a horrible decision that would ruin the already greatly wounded Japan.
Honestly I didn't do very well on this project, I zoned out whenever it was time to work and never actually physically contributed that much data or effort. I would just help them verbally telling them to occasionally correct something or maybe add onto a question or onto a statement. In the actual debate though I feel like I did a little bit better. I talked a fair share but non of it was very convincing and I often got tongue tied or brain dead. I think if I had not been rushed to spit out an answer I could have had more educated and correct answers than my sloppy ones. I think our opening and closing statements were done well only because they were prepared but we were horrible at coming up with answers and were unprepared to answer the well prepared team that we debated with. One thing that I did try to contribute was a response sheet and no one would help me with that so it never got serious and that would have helped a lot. So all in all it was my fault that I didn't do anything and I think I could have made it better if I had tried.
I learned that really it was one of the toughest wars in history and it was impossible to make the right decision. If I had been Truman I would have done the same thing, you can't make everyone happy so make your happy. The US was a little ambitious and cocky with their power and they may have been crude and evil but ti worked and thats what matters to me. Maybe the bomb could have been substituted but it was a war and it was time to end it.
This debate helped me practice my public speaking skills and having everything ready which I failed at and shows that I have a lot of work to do on both skills and that I should always try my hardest. I would have loved to be on the other side and that may have been why I wasn't working so hard because I think the bomb should have been dropped. I have always been a little patriotic and followed " the bigger the better" but learning about the horror caused it has made me a little less sure about it but I think everything they did was a good idea and that it happened and I shouldn't worry about but respect it and be educated correctly.

Rocket Reflection
So far I think my rocket has been going pretty well and considering that I have been working by myself I am right by all the other groups in progression. My deployment system is starting to work and my rocket goes extremely high but my parachute needs to be remade so I can have a longer flight. I hope to soon test a real egg after I get some more practice tests and I want to spend most of the rest of the project on the field launching eggs. But, when I am making repairs I need to take a little more time so the rocket is ready for many tests and not just "enough". I think my design is individual but I have put my own twist on it with a combination of things I have seen from many other students.

Mid-Trimester Blog Reflection
So far I think my goals have been going well and that they have been pretty easy so far. My essays quality has increased greatly and I have been getting better grades. Over spring break I took a lot of pictures and that was good but with the rain and clouds of winter and spring it has been hard for me to find good pictures in my time-frame. With the extremely big rocket project going on it has been essential for me to have a really nice performing rocket and after a few prototypes my rocket has gotten pretty good. So I think I should just do what I've been doing with a little extra planning and effort and I'll be fine.

My Research Paper Topic and Why
My narrowed down topic is going to be the creation and use of gas weaponry during war. I think this will be a good topic for me because the main use of gas weaponry was used in the world wars which interests me and I already know a lot about the world wars so it she be an easier yet thorough topic for me.
